Introducing Enhanced Messaging

Your signs already answer the big questions. What is this thing, how do I use it safely, and who do I call when something goes wrong. But sometimes you have something extra to say, and you need to say it right now, right where people are looking.

That is exactly what our new Messages feature is for. Write a short note in your portal, choose which assets should show it, set a time window, and you are done. Anyone who scans one of those signs while the message is running sees it as a banner at the top of the page, before anything else.

Choose exactly who sees it

Not every message is for everyone. When you compose a message, you decide how far it travels:

  • All assets, for notices that apply everywhere
  • Specific locations, when the news only matters at one site
  • Specific clients, if you manage assets on behalf of other companies
  • Individual assets, when it really is just about that one lift or that one machine

As you pick, a live counter shows exactly how many assets the message will appear on. No guesswork, no surprises.

Set it and forget it

Every message runs on a schedule. Start it right away or pick a date and time in the future. Give it an end time, or let it run until you stop it yourself. Planning maintenance for next Tuesday? Write the notice today, schedule it for Monday evening, and it will quietly appear and disappear without you touching a thing.

Three levels, because not everything is an emergency

Each message gets a severity level, and each one behaves a little differently on the sign page:

  • Info is for everyday updates. Visitors can read it and dismiss it.
  • Warning stands out more, for things people really should not skip.
  • Emergency is pinned to the page and cannot be dismissed while it is active. When it matters most, the message stays put.

Easy to manage after the fact

The Messages page in your portal shows everything at a glance: what is active, what is scheduled, and what has ended. Stop an active message with one click, edit a scheduled one before it goes live, or duplicate an old message when the same situation comes around again. All times are shown in your own timezone, so there is no mental math.

A few ways to put it to work

  • "This lift is out of service until Friday. Please use the loading dock entrance."
  • "Safety inspection scheduled Thursday morning. Expect brief closures."
  • "Severe weather expected this afternoon. Secure loose equipment before 3 pm."

Short, clear, and right where people are already looking. Messages are capped at 500 characters on purpose. Nobody reads an essay on their phone while standing next to a machine.

Try it today

Log in to your portal, open the Messages page, and hit New Message. Your first one takes about a minute to set up. If you have questions or ideas for where we should take this next, we would love to hear them.
